| Installing the Windstalker Cable Guard |
|

|
Follow the instructions below for a quick and simple installation
Step1:Before removing the original Factory cable guard rod (A) from the bow, mark it with a pencil or scribe, close to the bow riser as possible.
This is (D) on the old cable rod and will determines the depth of the new Windstalker Cable Guard in the riser.
After the mark is made remove the old cable guard rod.
Step2:At the hole where the old rod was removed, put the Windstalker Cable Guard on the side of the bow riser.Slide the new Cable Guard back until the cables align at the cable stop
where the arms and cable stop meet at the String Set-Up (E).
This is approximately 1/4 " in from the back of the cable stop (B), with cables at (E) mark the rod on the new Cable Guard at the bow riser. This
now becomes (D) on the new Windstalker Cable Guard.
Step 3:Take the old rod and place it beside the new Windstalker Cable Guard and align the two (D) marks.Mark the end of the old rod (C) onto the new cable guard (add 1/8th inch) to the length of the new rod before marking with a pencil or scribe. This is the depth needed to install the new Windstalker cable guard on bow.Now cut off the excess rod length of the new Windstalker cable guard.Note: It is better to
cut the new rod slightly longer then too short. If the uncut rod is not in the way delay cutting until all other alignments are done. This allows for final adjustments.
Step 4:Slide Windstalker Cable Guard rod into mounting hole of old cable guard.Rotate the top button so that the shortest groove is in the forward position.Rotate the bottom button so that the deepest groove is in the forward position.Place the front string in the top forward groove and then in the bottom rear groove.
Step 5:Place the rear string in the top rear groove and in the bottom front groove. Both strings should now be in the buttons. When looking at the Windstalker guard from the shooting position
the strings should be separated and not crossed.
Step 6:Rotate the guard out to give clearance for the arrow fleches.
Step 7:Place the Cables behind the Cable Stop (B) so that they touch
the back of the Cable Stop.
Step 8:After Cable Guard is adjusted for clearance tighten all the screws. Make sure the new Cable Guard is locked down to prevent movement.
MAINTENANCE:Add 1 or 2 drops of Teflon Oil to the rear moving parts of the Cable Guard.
NOTE:Windstalker Cable Guards mounted on the side of Riser require a Universal Bracket WS-2 or Roller Bracket WS-3.
